Ruth Gorton lives and paints in southern Maine with a life long interest in drawing and painting. Formerly from Massachusetts, she studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School followed by a 25 year career as a graphic artist and illustrator. Ten years ago she turned to painting full time as well as teaching. In addition to teaching drawing and painting classes, she also provides therapeutic recreational painting classes for children and adults.
